In this newsletter we have an update of the iNSPiRe project with particular attention to iNSPiRe’s six kits. As they become ready for demonstration and monitoring, we explain the benefits they bring and how they will reduce the energy consumption of older buildings after renovation. We also bring you a webinar presentation made by iNSPiRe partner Dr Sarah Birchall of BSRIA. Titled Renovating the Existing Building Stock Across Europe, it provides a good overview of the project, with a focus on our extensive study of Europe’s building stock and how that underpins our work, we highlight the main findings from the published reports.
We also look at how Bartenbach are tackling the unique challenges brought by the iNSPiRe project when trying to provide post-war European Buildings with energy efficient solutions.
As iNSPiRe enters its next phase, we also turn our attention to how building owners can pay for renovation work in the future. In this edition, we look at the innovative Energy Performance Contracts now being made available by European ESCOs – and at how the iNSPiRe package can help.
Finally, we take a look at some of the upcoming events that iNSPiRe will be attending over the next few months.
