iNSPiRe are excited to announce that the online interest group for public procurers on sustainable construction has been launched. The interest group provides a space for discussion on the procurement aspects of energy-efficient renovations of buildings. Specifically, the forum fosters knowledge exchange and discussion among procurers or those having some involvement in procurement matters, regarding their experiences with using public funds for innovative construction or monitoring life-cycle costs of NZEBs.

“The sustainable construction interest group is ideal for connecting, sharing knowledge and experiences – particularly good practice – with peers involved in sustainable procurement in the public sector,” said Amalia Ochoa of ICLEI, an international association of local authorities and their associations with a commitment to sustainable development.

The group is hosted via the Procurement Forum (http://www.procurement-forum.eu). It is a closed group with up to 30 participants from the public sector. If you wish to join the group, please email Marlene Grauer on marlene.grauer [at] iclei [dot] org.

A number of discussion topics are active.
