In mid April 2015, the iNSPiRe team met for their sixth project partner meeting at the Acciona headquarters in Madrid, Spain.
The partners gathered for two days of lively discussion about the progress of the project and to take part in a special exploitation seminar, coordinated by the EC.
Partners also had the opportunity to visit the demonstration building while in Madrid, where work has started to fit the renovation kits and monitoring is due to take place. This work is being carried out with residents still living in the building, with as little disruption to their daily lives as possible.
Carlos Saraiva-Martins, the project officer for iNSPiRe, was present throughout the meeting, assessing the progress and offering support and advice. The project is now entering a vital phase of development , with the retrofitting kits ready for implementation and the demonstration buildings ready to be renovated using the iNSPiRe solutions. Once fitted, an intense period of monitoring and assessment will take place.
Meanwhile, dissemination activity will increase, with the launch of a new film that outlines the need for retrofitting kits on the market and explaining how iNSPiRe will meet that need. A series of special events and site visits have also been arranged.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with all partners committed to demonstrating the impressive innovations that have been developed over the past two and a half years and with clear strategies put in place to deliver these innovations to the market.
